Lou Mancel describes herself as “extremely detail orientated in a compulsive manner” due the intricate jewelry and metal work that she does. The truth is that she enjoys finding barriers and breaking them in her artwork.  

She realized that silver and gemstones are the media that allow her to “get the ideas in my head out in a form that is right for me”.  Lou uses both faceted and cabochon stones for the colors on her pallet.

Her original designed jewelry is described as a nature-based subject matter with a focus on geometric designs.
